Chocolate by Carolyn

OK so a new business went up here in our little town and I have been dying to go in and check it out. Since I don't eat dairy or sugar I have been avoiding the Chocolate store. But it just so happened I needed a little thank you for our travel agent and I didn't want to send the usual flowers; I wanted something unique and special. I got just that when I popped into Chocolate by Carolyn's shop on Wed. afternoon. Each chocolate is hand made right there in the little shop and unfortunately my pictures don't do them justice cause they are beautiful! They smell, taste (yes I cheated on one free sample ;) and look amazing. The other thing that is amazing is how nice the owner is. She greeted me when I walked in and right away I noticed the prayer request dry erase board hanging on her wall, they go to our church! So fun to meet another sister in Christ who just so happens to deal in my very favorite thing.........CHOCOLATE!
Carolyn also makes dipped apples, fudge, almond butter toffee and truffles. You get to hand pick your chocolates, pick the box and ribbon you like and then...... she wraps them up for you and off you go with a special little something for someone. :)
If you have a teacher, pastor, new mama, a friend or neighbor that just needs a little lift stop in and get them a little box. The boxes start at $6.00.
I love when you can support a business in your own small town and at the same time find something special and unique that not everyone is getting somewhere else.
So if you are out and about please go by Carolyn's and support her yummy endeavor.
She is at 35268 Yucaipa Blvd. Right up there near the corner of Yucaipa Blvd. and Bryant Street. You'll get great chocolate, a warm smile and welcome and you can see who around town needs you to be praying for them. :)

Yum, yum, yum and oh so pretty too!
You know the next time I am on Yucaipa Blvd I'm going to have to stop by and get myself some of these. But I'll be sure to eat them all before I get to you (well, maybe I'll save you one) - because you know the only reason I'll be on Yucaipa Blvd is to visit my friend.

OH MY GOODNESS. Those are gorgeous! I agree, I love getting to support a worthy local business. I wish we had some here! I may need to make a pit stop when I make your delivery today! ;-)

I would really like to hear from you and I am not sure how to connect with you on a more personal level. We lived in Yucaipa for a year last year and we loved the Chocolates by Carolyn shop. I was looking up info on her and I happened upon your blog. What caught my eye is the fact that you mentioned you have Rheumatoid Arthritis. My 15 year old daughter was just diagnosed last December. I am very interested in a holistic approach (who you use) and to find out what foods you eat and avoid. I hope you will respond and give me info. Thank you so much.
