Every year our family has the tradition of going to the Mission Inn one night during the month of December. We eat at the great restaurant and then walk around looking at all the decorations and lights they have put throughout the Hotel. To top off the night we go for a horse drawn carriage ride around town. Morgan was in love with the carolers.
It's always really cold so we love getting out the jackets and scarves and bundling up under the blankets for the ride. We have been doing this every year since Morgan was 2.
We have some great memories from the Mission Inn. If you have never been I encourage you to go get some hot chocolate, walk around down town; you can even watch the ice skaters in the town center. Really fun times. :)
And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? [Christmas] came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.

I love that tradition :). My dad restored most of the Tiffany stained glass windows at the Mission Inn....just thought I'd share that with you ;).
